What to expect en route

Starting and finishing in the East Yorkshire village of Kirkella, the Haltemprice 10k course takes in some beautiful scenery along closed roads and provides just enough of a challenge to keep even the seasoned striders on their toes.

We start and finish on Southella Way in Kirkella.

You will then run up through the pretty village of Westella before an undulating loop around Swanland and returning to Southella Way. The first half of the course is gradually uphill but then you are rewarded with a wonderful downhill return stretch to collect your traditional finishers mug.

All runners must register at Race HQ at Haltemprice Sports Center before making their way to the start line.

Thank you

The organisers are grateful to The Beech Tree in assisting with car parking and the Haltemprice Sports Center for allowing the use of their hall as the Race HQ. With changing facilities, refreshments and toilets it is an ideal base for registration and for the post-race prize presentations. In addition we would like to thank the patience and understanding of local residents who live along the route of this historic race.
