On race day

Race Day Information

On Sunday morning you will be lining up for the 37th running of the Haltemprice 10K. Please take time to read the briefing notes below 

Registration process

Arrive at the race HQ (Haltemprice Sports Center) from 07.30 and give us your surname and address to receive your race number which you must attach to you run top, making sure the timing chip is facing the right way round. Please then make your way up Southella Way to the Start area. This will take you at least ten minutes so do allow plenty of time. From then on, it's all about waiting for that starting gun to go off. The rest is up to you! 

Race day itinerary

7:30am - Registration opens at Haltemprice Sports Center
8:40am - Registration closes
8:50am - Race director’s briefing
9:00am - Race start
10:30am - Road closures lifted & Course closed
11:00am - Prize giving

Race Entry & Number Transfers

The closing entry date (unless capacity reached earlier) and transfer deadline will be midnight on Sunday 22nd October .Numbers are not transferable after this time. Please complete the details on the reverse of your race number and do not deface it in any way. 

Car Parking & Directions

Please car share as much as possible. Limited car parking is available at Haltemprice Leisure Centre, Springfield Way, Anlaby, HU10 6QJ. Please access the car park off Gorton Road. There are dedicated spaces for the event only and any other spaces are reserved for regular users of the centre and you must not park in them. 

Additional parking can be found on the King George V playing fields off Beverley Road, Kirkella or the retail park on Springfield Way (no arrangements have been made for either location) and some on street parking

Changing Facilities

Toilets and showers are free to use in the leisure center for competitors upon producing your race number. 

Refreshments

We have arranged for the cafe in the leisure center to be open from 07.30. Once you have made your purchase please make your way to the main hall or outside areas.

Keeping You Safe

Your race experience and safety is of the utmost importance to us all. The process listed below will ensure a smooth transition from turning up, to registration, to race start and finally, to the all-important finish! The wearing of headphones is not advised.

We have First Aid providers on the route and at the finish area should you need any support. Please contact a marshal if you become unwell or are injured during the race.

There will be both front and rear cyslists leading out and bringing up the rear of the race
